March 2009

The re-invention of N-Trance continues in 2009, with the addition of the amazing vocal talents of Lynsey-Jane Barrow. Whilst we are busy finishing off the new recordings, you will be able to see Lynsey performing PA’s with… Lee Limer, the original dancer & showman from the infamous stage performances back in the early 90’s , and….. T-1K, the original MC & Rapper who performed on tracks such as ‘Set You Free’ & ‘Turn Up The Power’.

We are hoping to be performing full live gigs at the University’s and festivals later this year which will also feature more of the original band members on stage.

February 2009

We have finally uploaded the unreleased album from 1997 entitled 'The Mind Of The Machine' to itunes & other download sites. We recorded two new tracks, 'Free Running' & 'The Earth Is Dying' to complete the album & tried to produce the tracks in a similar style to what we recorded back in 1997.

September 2008

Well the hectic summer is at an end but there's no time to rest. We have loads of Freshers gigs, Kelly's got the Clubland Live 2 tour in November..... Oh & there's an album that needs finishing. To keep up with what's going on feel free to join our facebook page:- N-Trance Facebook

June 2008

If you’re in Ibiza this summer then pop in to see us every Tuesday at Es-Paradis for the Clubland night. We are the resident DJ for Clubland this summer, so expect to see Kelly Llorenna singing in there quite regularly. The opening night was the busiest night in Es-Paradis for 10years, & with all the acts on AATW performing there at some point this summer… it’s going to be the best place to be on a Tuesday! :-)

September 2007

Who would have believed this picture would ever have been taken a few years ago? The rumours are true though as Mike Lewis, Kelly Llorenna & myself are working together again for the first time since 1993.

If you'd like to listen to a demo of the first song we've recorded together you can find it in the discography section of this website titled 'You're My Angel'.

July 2007

I don’t have much news for this month, so I thought I’d show you a picture of what we get up to when we’re not working in the studio. This is me & Mike on a recent night out when we decided to dress up as Batman and Robin, there’s no special reason why we’re wearing them…. apart from we thought it was funny.... Oh, and too much beer :)

June 2007

You might have seen a few video clips on youtube, when a spontaneous reunion gig took place on 18th June at RB’s in Chester. We all went on a night out where Kelly Llorenna was performing, & Jerome & Lee couldn’t resist going back on stage.

We also apologise for the traffic chaos we created, with our limo & it's dodgy sat-nav. :)

February 2007

Sorry I've not updated the site for a while, but I've been busy recording the new singles. There are demo samples of two of the new tracks in the discography section, and we are currently in the process off finding remixers for 'You're My Angel'

I forgot to take a picture of Gillian while she was in the studio, so here's a daft one of me instead.

December 2006

Merry Christmas & a happy new year from all of us……. I’ve not uploaded the most Christmassy of pictures, but it was taken when I went for a night out at Liquid in Wrexham last Saturday. The club was packed & the beer was free, so it was a very good night.

We’re going to be very busy in the new year, as I’ve been writing a few new songs, and have all the singles nearly ready for next year. There is still time to download the vocals for ‘Nothing Last Forever’ as we won’t be starting work on that song until January.

November 2006

We’ve added a new sample section to the website, and will be adding various vocal & midi files over the next few months. For starters we’ve added the vocals for the brand new n-trance record, and the vocals from one of our very first records. The new song ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ will be released on promo next year, but if you can’t wait that long you can hear the demo version in our discography or hear it live on our PA’s.

The picture is of Mike Lewis with his youngest fan (aka Fred) on a recent DJ set.

October 2006

We've recorded the new single entitled 'Nothing Lasts Forever', and will be adding the vocals to a new sample section of the website in the next couple of weeks. We’ll be performing this song live for the first time in Liverpool on Nov 8th, and having a meal at my mates new Chilli Banana restaurant (hence the picture & shameless promotion).

Thanks to everyone that has bought our ‘Freeloaders’ - ‘Freshly Squeezed’ album & we hope to have a 2nd album ready this summer

August 2006

For any of you that still didn’t know…. N-Trance also produce under the pseudonym Freeloaders, and their debut album Freshly Squeezed is now available to download exclusively on itunes. We will also be finishing off the previously unreleased album 'Mind Of The Machine', and will be releasing this as well exclusively as a download later this year.

2. So Much Love To Give (Album Version)

8. I Need Love
9. Right Now

June 2006

There's not much happening on the music front this month as there's a certain World Cup event going on & we'd rather watch that than be in a recording studio. Our entire UK back catalogue of music has now been added to itunes, with the exception of The 1992 white label version of Set You Free as that was only a promotional release. The songs are available to download in most countries worldwide, and should be available in every country shortly.

The website is undergoing some major updates at the moment in the way the site is content managed. You probably won't notice many of the changes, but the pictures will be updated more often and the sound clips in the Discography section will be full length low bandwidth mp3's of the singles.

May 2006

We’ve been a bit busy this month putting the final touches to ‘The Freeloaders’ debut album, but after that we’re going to finish of the previously uncompleted album ’The Mind Of The Machine’. We’ll probably do a limited run of CD’s that you can buy either direct from our website or AATW’s, but will also be available as a download. It will only feature vocals by members of N-Trance between 1996-1998.

After this has been done we’re starting a new N-Trance album from scratch, and the old songs that we released that weren’t on any previous albums won’t be included. I’ve no idea how long this album will take to make, but I’m going to write it all in one go & then pick the tracks to release as singles when it’s finished. I have a feeling the album will be a bit darker than usual, and I’m tempted to go back to my roots & do a big beat piano style album.

If you’d like quick links to the tracks we already have on itunes you can use the shortcuts on here http://www.aatw.com/itunes/

April 2006

As you can see we had a very productive time in Miami… I'm on the top picture at the National Hotel, and a very drunk Mike Lewis is with an even drunker Irish lad (DJ Dex) at the Defected party. Wearing the infamous T-Shirt thanks to the defected stickers!

I'd like to thank The Prodigy for the VIP tickets to Ultramusicfestival, and an American chap called Greg who is the most generous person (if slightly mad) that we've ever met!

Most of our music is now available to download on itunes UK, and it will be available worldwide once we sort out the licensing issues

March 2006

I‘ve not got much news for you this month, as I‘m too busy backing my bags & heading off to the Winter Music Conference. Hopefully the weather in Miami will be warmer than it is in the UK, and any late invitations to pool parties would be very appreciated!!!

Also, the entire back catalogue of n-trance music will be going on itunes this month, and will be made available throughout the world shortly afterwards.

Note:- The emails are working again, and I'd like to thank the 700+ spam emails I got, as I really enjoyed wasting an hour of my life reading about viagra & fake watches!

February 2006

Manchester United might be struggling to find a new sponsor, but not the Slaithwaite Saracens under 12 rugby team! N-trance are proud to announce that we are the official kit sponsors of the team, so contact the club if you fancy buying a shirt.

Note:- we're still having email problems, but it will be sorted out soon.

January 2006

We’ll it’s back to work (after my month off), and 2006 sees us enter our 14th year since we signed our first contract as N-Trance. We have rotated the keyboards in the studio & brought back some of our old favourites. The Korg M1 was the first synth to go back in the studio… it’s about 16yrs old & needed to have it’s internal battery replaced, but the Juno 106 is older & was in perfect working order.

Also…... Following in the footsteps of David Grant, Jerome Stokes becomes the second N-Trance vocalist to feature as a TV vocal coach. Jerome recently performed as a vocalist on the Gorillaz live shows in Manchester, and is currently coaching the celebrities on ITV’s Soapstar Superstar.

December 2005

Merry Christmas everyone..... I've not got any news at the moment, as the studio is now closed for Christmas. I'll upload some pictures this weekend, but for now here's one of a tree.

Note:- We're still having email problems, so messages aren't getting through

November 2005

We’d like to join the rest of the sporting world to take time to reflect on the genius that was George Best. It’s no secret that we’re Manchester United fans, and we once wore Cantona shirts on TOTP’s the day he got banned for his kung fu kick. We proudly own a Man U football that George signed for us to n-trance, so we think it’s fitting we have our own tribute on here.

A man that burnt the candle at both ends, but who’s light was the brightest. George Best 1946-2005

October 2005

The video section to the website has now been completed, and includes the previously unseen video in the UK ..‘Broken Dreams’. The next section to be updated will be the audio section, but we’re going to leave the big surprise in that section until the new year.

NOTICE:- The emails are working again now, and I had the enjoyable task of reading through 3 months worth of spam emails. Some of your messages might have been lost, but I have replied to the ones I did receive.

September 2005

We are slowly adding our back catalogue of music to itunes, and have added a special version of our 'best of' album which includes a few bonus remixes. At the moment you can only download the songs if you are a UK resident, but we will be making the music available globally once we sort out a few legal issues.

August 2005

Firstly... I'm sorry for not updating the website for such a long time, but I've been busy working on a new album under the production name 'Freeloaders'. We had a top 10 with our first release, so I've been really busy trying to finish everything off for that album.

Anyway, as you can see we've have added our complete gig guide to the website & require some help in identifying lost gig dates from the early 90's. If you know what these missing dates are, can you send us e-mail using the details provided on the contact page ? There will be some major updates to the website over the next couple of months, as we're back in the studio recording some new tracks from now until the end of the year.

October 2004

The video for ’I’m In Heaven’ is nearly completed, and as you can see from the pictures we’ve made a computer generated video.

As soon as the video is finished we will add it to the website, and also include some of our earlier videos. The Jukebox will also be back online, as soon as we have a release date for the single.

December 2003

We would like to wish you all a merry Christmas, and all that happy new year bollocks….. As you can see we are hard at work on our live shows, and not just having a drunken party like it looks in the photo’s !! The new single ‘I’m in heaven’ is now finished, and features Gillian Tennant on lead vocals. It will be released early next year, with our new album to follow.

November 2003

The album might be delayed due to the purchase of Mario Kart on the Gameboy. We did tell the record company that we were working on some new tracks...let’s hope they don’t read this !!!

The Jukebox section will soon be upgraded for Broadband users, with new album tracks added to the playlist.

September 2003

Here's an exclusive web-edit of the new track we have produced for Karen Parry. The track was written by the same writers behind the #3 hit 'Shooting Star', who are currently working on a Hardcore remix of this song. We will also be producing the Club mix and Dark mix, and will add them to the Jukebox section in a few weeks time. We are still producing the new studio album at the moment, as we were delayed by a few weeks due to Kelly being ill. She's back to 100% now and working on lyric ideas, plus a new track for her solo work.

August 2003

We received an e-mail from the USA the other week informing us that two of our tracks have been included on an album called “Chicago's Most Wanted Dance Party". They asked us if we’d help promote the album on our website, and seeing that I’m stuck in the studio and have no other news to mention….. Buy it, and help get us over to party (I mean work) in the USA !!!!

July 2003

We have just finished building the brand new studio, which we finished wiring on 17.08.03. We are keeping the name of the studio 'Deep Blue', as we've finally created a studio that is deep blue in colour!!! The new album will be finished before the end of August, with a new single to be released at the same time. See the studio section on the website for some more pictures of the new studio.

June 2003

The CD promo for the new track 'Destiny' will be arriving at a club near you shortly, featuring all the remixes !!!! Also the video has been completed, and is due to go on the music channels in the next couple of weeks. The video will also be made available soon, in the Downloads section.

1. Radio edit
2. Voodoo & Serano edit
3. Q-Tex remix
4. Extended mix
5. Voodoo & Serano remix
6. Kenny Hayes remix
7. Friday Night Posse remix
8. Q-Tex Dub
9. Kenny Hayes Dub

April 2003

We have just finished filming our 13th video for the new single ‘Destiny’, which was shot entirely on location in Majorca. Even though we had terrible weather for the first day of filming, we managed to get all the footage we needed. The video was Produced by Michael Menke, who is renowned for his ‘Scooter’ videos.

Here are a few pictures from the video, more pictures can be seen on the aatwc forum.

January 2003

We are shocked and saddened today at the death of Maurice Gibb, who we had the pleasure of meeting (along with his brothers) when we covered 'Stayin' Alive' back in 1995. We do not think you can underestimate the contribution these guys have made not just to popular music, but to dance music in particular. The influences from their seminal album 'Saturday Night Fever' can still be heard today a quarter of a century later, in any club or disco anywhere in the world. Heaven will be dancin' tonight!

Respect & RIP Maurice Gibb 1949-2003.

December 2002

N-trance would like to wish everyone that has supported us over the past year a Merry Christmas, and a big FU to everyone that hasn’t !!!! Hopefully you’ll get chance to join us on our new DJ nights, to tour the clubs next year.

Oh and the present in the picture with Kelly is just a prop... I'm not that generous, even if it is Christmas.

November 2002

Not much news to report this month, as we're hard at work recording the next album. The new single 'Destiny' will be finished this week, but it takes a while to get all the remixes done, so we've no idea when it will be released. As you can see from the picture from the studio, there's no need to build expensive vocal booths. A couple of duvets will do fine (washing them first is of course optional).

If you're a fan of Kelly's solo work, her new single 'Heart of Gold' is released on on 18/11/2002 with an album to follow this Christmas.

October 2002

September has been a very busy month for n-trance, with the release of the new single ‘Forever’. The song peaked at number 6 in the UK top 40, and earned them their 9th performance on Top of the Pops (see pictures).

Also they have been inundated with remix work from just about everyone... from Robert Palmer to Scooter!!! N-trance have also confirmed that work on their third new album will commence shortly, and will be released next year.

September 2002

The new single 'Forever' has been N-Trance's first single since 'Stayin' Alive' in 1995 to go on the Radio 1 playlist. The track is released on September 2nd.

August 2002

N-Trance have just finished shooting their 12th video for the new single 'Forever', which is due to be released on the 2nd of September.

The video location was at Camelaird Shipyard in Birkenhead, inside one of the biggest warehouses in the country.

Special thanks goes out to all the extras involved, especially the drivers who brought there own customised cars. Also the mad guy who was doing doughnuts inside the warehouse......... he must love the smell of burning rubber !!!

July 2002

Following the release of the hugely successful Greatest Hits 1992-2002, N-Trance are set to release their new single 'Forever', out on the 22nd July 2002.

April 2002

N-trance have totally upgraded their studio with the addition of two Tascam 24 track digital hard drives and a Yamaha DM2000 96 channel digital mixer (the first one in the country!). We are currently working out how to use it all!
